| | | | The Women’s Community Kitchen, developed and run by Kol Ha-Isha and Achoti, is a unique social entrepreneurship project designed to strengthen women who are starting out in the culinary micro-business field. The Kitchen is jointly managed by graduates of our culinary micro-business course, “Women Cook up a Business, and acts as a business incubator, providing our graduates with a supportive environment, professional experience and the use of certified facilities, coupled with a secure basic income, in order to overcome the challenges and risks of developing an independent catering business and achieve economic security.
The Kitchen opened its doors in the fall of 2006 and is located at the Elwyn Center in Kiryat Ha-Yovel. In addition to serving meals to the Elwyn community, the Kitchen hosts groups at the dining room, conference rooms and adjacent garden and patio.
It hosts groups of up to 100 persons, for lunch, banquets and receptions, offering a multicultural culinary experience - of authentic cuisines: Kurdish * Yemenite * Iraqi *Moroccan* Italian* Persian* French* Bukharian*; organic and health dishes and vegetarian adaptations from the different cuisines and delicious desserts.
